Who can use THC

The Hotel Collection is available through Amex Travel for eligible U.S. consumer and business cards, with account eligibility shown during an authenticated search.

Stay minimum

A two-night minimum is required for The Hotel Collection program benefits, so a one-night reservation at a participating hotel does not qualify for the THC benefit package.

Core benefits

Eligible THC stays generally include a room upgrade when available and a property credit of up to $100 toward qualifying charges defined by the individual hotel.

FHR difference

THC has broader mid-market coverage but does not publish the same breakfast-for-two or guaranteed 4 p.m. checkout package associated with Fine Hotels + Resorts.

Before you book

1. 1Search at least two consecutive nights and verify that the result is labeled The Hotel Collection rather than a standard Amex Travel hotel rate.
2. 2Read the property's credit description before booking because eligible dining, spa, resort, or other charges vary by participating hotel.
3. 3Compare the prepaid THC total with direct and flexible rates, including cancellation deadlines and any hotel loyalty benefits that a portal booking may not earn.
4. 4If you expect an Amex card-level hotel credit, verify the eligible card, enrollment state, prepaid booking rule, and benefit reset period separately from THC perks.
